Power to Health Station?
I wire the health station but it keeps telling me there’s insufficient power? Anyone else?

IT TOOK 3 PAGES FOR AN ANSWER

the problem is when you start the game you dont know about prefab rooms, all you have is the metal wood concrete sections, and the section with the teleporter and health stations - for construction research options

Good point will mark that as an answer

You should know that solar panels and batteries only have to make contact with the prefab rooms. They don't require any wiring if placed directly on the roof for example. The room itself acts like a giant conduit.

...This is an old thread but seeing as someone already necro'd it, I wanted to say thank you for this comment.

I rewired my base that began as my "new to the game, first base" the other day and couldn't understand how my storage boxes were still powered after I deleted the wires. ...but yah, I'd moved my solar array to be on top of them last week.

You're comment has provided enlightenment and helps me to be better prepared for how to layout my next base.

In early part of game, it is possible to hang health station on powered storage container, it worked fine for me

Dont know why people get a hard on over necro threads, rather continue on an old post than make lots of new posts!

I don't think this thread is even relevant anymore. Every object works in freighters and it hasn't been a problem for a number of updates.
Happy Monkey Aug 22, 2021 @ 12:09pm
This thread is relevant for putting health stations on non-prefab ground bases, and has two good answers - put them on storage containers or on a pill light, and power those.

And also mentions that you can put them on prefab rooms, for those who didn't realize there was a difference in the first place.

It is still relevant!

Funnyiest thing about the people who complain about thread necro'ing is that as far as the rules of Steam go, they are the ones more guilty of bad forum etiquette than the ones doing the necro.

The necromancer actually posted something I wasn't aware of so I'd say, yep, still a relevant reply...that I probably wouldn't have even seen without it being in this thread. haha

Still relevant as of current date. (had this problem literally just now after returning to the game and forgetting how everything worked)

Still the same bug (PS5)
Works on some walls, it seems is random, as i haven't identified a condition for it to work. Same issue with the hazard protection unit.

Nice necro, especially when there are more recent threads about it :steamfacepalm:

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
