Does building all 3 grades of the translator stack?

I have the B, A and S rank modules for the automatic language parser, and I installed the S rank straight away. I am wondering if installing the earlier grades in addition will increase the max translated words to 6. Anyone try it?

Some techs do give bonuses will not benefiting from one themselves. If the translation mechanic does not benefit from it, well, they'll give bonuses between them but to no avail... xD I don't see a way to check.

I tested this last night. It certainly does not stack, at least not in a way we think it should.
I have all 3 installed together for a total of what should be 6 words. I spoke to a Gek but only 3 words were revealed. I'm pretty positive I already knew most if not all of those words.
Heres what I tested:
I tried rearranging the tech to have the S module in the center. No benefit. Same three words.
I rearranged the tech into every possible layout: No difference.
I sepperated the tech so they werent connected - No benefit.
I rearranged the tech so they were all horizontal, vertical and then in an L shape: No difference.
I put them in my Tech slots: No difference.
I put some in Tech slots, some in normal inventory: no difference.
I uninstalled the tech: no difference

From what I can tell, they are broken entirely. At the very least, even if they dont stack - I only had those 3 words revealed. So Either I already knew them (I think i did but not certain) or the game is only using one of the modules but I cant tell which.

Ive kept them installed for now just in case their use becomes apparant but Im leaning towards they are simply broken.

Yeah I am starting to think they're 100% broken. I have only the S rank module installed, so I should get 3 unique words per encounter. I spoke to a Korvax (I only really know Gek right now) and only 2 words were translated. It's busted. Let's hope when they patch it they make it so having the 3 different ranks of the module installed can boost us to 6 or maybe even 7 words with bonuses. Super lame the current state of this tech.

There is 4 Translator upgrades. You get the C rank from the Artimis questline. But they seem to act a bit od. Sometimes i have a ton of words translated. But other times almost none. It often seems to be dependant on the length of the sentence for some reason.

Doesn't seem to work at all. HG really should make the effect visual, like highlighting words that got auto-translated, or something.

With 600 words learned from each race, it feels mundane having them, can't tell you sorry.

i know almost all gek with 1-3 words( 1/3 of time fully translated)

without translator i get same amount , i honestly not seen any diffrance with or without , and on "almost fully knowing" 3 words or even 1 makes noticable diffrance

so it ether does not work or not works how it should

you get it as part of the artemis quest line. he gives you the recipe to craft his version of the translator to fulfill his requirement to learn words. next requirement being to increase standing.. ect.(to help build/decipher the star map) not sure it even worked to be honest. but you do have to install the tech to advance the artemis path.

hmm, i think the tech automatic translates but never truely " unlocks " that word in the dictionary.

Translators are just a waste of space. By the time you are likely to spare the nanites for it, you already know most of the answers to the questions.

I thought that the translators added words to the dictionary, not necessarily translate them in the dialogue text?
