Discord overlay issues?

Anyone else have issues with Discord when playing NMS?
I can't get the overlay to work, though it works fine for other games. I also can't stream the game via Discord for a friend to check it out.

My theory here is that it's something to do with Vulkan, because the only other game to give me this issue was DOOM 2016 and that runs Vulkan as well. Not finding anything on google.

discord overlay gives problems with some games its a known issue.
and where the h did you search, i see it asap in google + solutions.

Can you link it? I mean I didn't find any solutions on google, which is why I'm asking here. If you found a solution then link it, if you didn't then you're exactly where I am.

that solution is old, you must search for nms discord overlay vulkan

I managed to get it to work along with Screenshare (So friends that can't start the game can watch)

I put the game into WIndow.. and all working

Someone here said use window mode. Didn't try it yet but will report back when I have.

Did you try Nitro? Maybe it needs Nitro.

huh, i thought it was discord's problem, i too have issues with discord overlay atm. Happened since origins

NMS still has this issue, even though it has the blue "verified" seal for the game in the overlay settings. Nothing I've tried gets it to work, not even using the PTB version of Discord. Discord even adds it to the overlay list automatically, so it's detecting the game. I feel like it might have something to do with Discord hooking into a background process for the game, as opposed to the game itself.

yep it seems discord does not as of yet support vulkan.

From discord overlay support page:
"Note, there are a few other cases that overlay will not work with. The overlay is currently not supported for Mac, games with Vulkan support, and generally old games."
