No Man's Sky
A Question About Game Price
I always wanted to get the game but I often wait for a game to go 75% off. This game recently got 3 years old and it is still 50% off. Will NMS ever get 75% discount? Or will it always be 50% off max. Is there any word from the developer on the Internet on the discounts?

It's cheaper on CDKeys.

Unfortunately I live in Turkey and ,because of the regional pricing, anywhere other than Steam, Humble Bundle, Fanatical or Voidu costs three times the price. Thanks for the advice though :)

NMS is still adding content after 3 years. The only way to do that is to limit both the scale and the duration of discounts, since it's their only source of income - new players buying the game. No micro-transaction BS or anything. The fact that other games do 75% or 90% discounts is irrelevant. The world can not adapt to one person's expectations only, and it's generally wiser to try to understand the big picture. Welcome to the game if you decide to purchase it. You clearly had your answers, now it's up to you to make an educated guess.

The game is still an ongoing project, they'll just keep dropping it to -50% when a major update happens.

-75%+ is more for you dead unsupported games.

If 50% off still seems like a lot of money you probably won't enjoy the game if you do get it.

It need a pretty powerful PC to run well and people waiting for the 75 to 90% sales are often the ones trying to game on a potato PC.

You can check others' profiles, right? I wouldn't own around 1400 games if I wouldn't have a powerful PC. Why wouldn't I maximize what my money can buy? With the extra 25%, I can easily get another game. That's why I am asking if it will get that 25% more in the future. You don't have to bash others without knowing what their motive is.

That's quite a game collection you've got there. Plenty of stuff to play for years while you're waiting for that extra 25% discount. :^) Was AC Odyssey a 75% discount at some point or did you decide to pick it up at 50% off on one of the recent sales cause it looked like a cool game you wanted to play?

And it's quite possible that with a collection like that you actually do have a decent gaming PC. But that's sort of like people that spend 50 grand on a new car then complain they can't drive it because gasoline is so expensive.

Maybe someday No Mans Sky will be 75% off and you'll be able to give it a try, but it won't happen for a while and it won't be right after a major patch.
No Man's Sky has given us Four DLCs for free -- I"ll pay 60 bucks for it. NO PROBLEM, stop being so cheap. BTW When you buy the game it automatically comes with all of it's DLC and a team that is constantly responding to it's help desk and fixing problems that occur.

as much as I enjoyed NMS at launch...I would not call these DLCs , nor free...not if you paid full price. NMS could still use some more content. am glad i supported it, dont get me wrong. the fact they are fixing and adding to for 3 years now is something that should be supported and respected.

imo, no -75% while they continue to do free updates.
but I will say this, I don't know why but I have a feeling you will see this turn up in a humble bundle soon. don't know why

hehe that website is 1 cent more expensive then Eneba :P
A product is priced at the level people buy it for.
There's no need to drop the price even on an old product if it keep meeting the sales expectations.

CDKeys is 100% grey market, I don't know of any publisher listing them as an authorized reseller.
