How to Reach Galaxy Map?

The tip says to go to the Galaxy Map by pressing X but X is set to a quick menu to recharge my tools and stuff. Any help?

Yea, NMS has this weird thing where controls are automaticaly adjusted to fit your keyboard, but the tooltips are not. It tels me to use Z key to build while i actualy have to press W and M for galactic map but its actually the comma.
(and using the dot from my numpad inputs a ; for some reason and numbers on the numpad don't work at all, liek wtf why? This is the only game that pulls this kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥)

Try pressing the comma, maybe it works?

Try M for map....

X is the right button. You need to be in your starship. Press X, and the galaxy map is the first option to the right. I think tkwoods is right, M also works iirc

There is Galaxy Map option in quick menu. Of course you should be flying in space, outside of planet.

Correct on both X (and move one to the right) and M. Just one of those quirks that X defaults to recharge unless the communicator is ringing.
