Metal power door
How the heck so you open and close this thing? I've tried powered/unpowered/ switches. What am I doing wrong?

Power it and it will close, leave it unpowered and it will remain open.

Learn a blueprint for a switch and wire it up.

Seems that the Power Door is bugged; always open.

I don't use metal doors usually but... The landpad door is always open too, even if powered. Because the landpad and all the base is one giant grid, I doubt I can place a switch, can I ? I haven't tried TBH

mine closes and locks me in or out until i remove the power cord attached to the door... would be AWESOME if they made a tutorial for that... they made HUGE freaking ones for everything else

The standard metal door when unpowered is open when powered is closed even when attached to powered buildings it has to be wired up and a switch put on it to operate it. The big garage door looking powered door still seems to not be working ive tried every config of power and switches and inverters and nothing closes it

Where is the garage door? I can't even find it in the building options.

If you want a fully automated door, get a proximity sensor and a power inverter. Here's my setup:

Why the inverter?

The door closes when it's powered and opens when it's not.
The proximity sensor powers the door when it detects someone nearby and cuts power when there's nobody around.
The power inverter, combined with the proximity sensor, cuts off power to the door when someone is nearby (thereby opening the door), and provides power when there's nobody around (so it closes).

He's talking about the garage door. It's called metal power door under metal type tab. I also can't get it to budge. Power does nothing.
