[SOLUTION] Base Construction Limit Reached Issue
If you are receiving the "Construction Limit Reached" issue as well please don't think it's a bug. As it seems, it's a "design choice" by developers to prevent FPS loss while playing multiplayer or creating our bases.

So if you want to increase the "Item per Square" limitation you have to go to Options > Graphic Options > Base Complexity → ULTRA aaaand VOİLA!

After you set that option to ultra level and restart your game you'll see a drastic increase of items you can put in a small area. However, there's still a limitation but, even you get that "limit reached" warning, you can continue building other places of your base (maybe a bit further than you're trying to put)

I hope that helps for Base Building Lovers!

Take good care folks!

Can't go above standard without crashing. Stuck, I guess.

Go to "Network & Voice" settings then turn off the "Multiplayer" this will resolve the crashing issue.

Unfortunately we have to wait for a good fix before fully go Multiplayer on PC.

Is multiplayer just broken on pc?

Thanks for the advice, but I turned it off since launch, to be able to navigate the Nexus :p

Unfortunately many players report on PC if they turn on the multiplayer game crashes. It happens especially in Nexus tho.

Oh.. Turning of actually resolved my whole crashing issue, seems like you've something else. That still bring us to "We need a wholesome fixing patch" :D

Did a few tests, turns out "Ultra" crashes less than "high"... xD provided I keep planetary quality to low. I expected my planets to look like crap but it runs actually better it seems oO I don't understand anything anymore... But hey, back to powering that big underwater base

Doesn't work for me. Restarted and everything.

I wanted to add this in case it helps anyone else.

I build tower bases that get up to a substantial height. I finished one tower last night. Today, I go in and find my Base terminus portal isn't working, so I remove it. When I go to put it back down, I get the Construction Limit Reached Issue, despite the fact that I just REMOVED something.

Here's the thing. If I go down a few floors, directly underneath the portal I don't get that error, I can still build things. If I go up a single floor, directly above the portal, I still get the error, but if I move one large prefab room length away, I don't get that error.

The Construction Limit Reached error appears to be localized to a specific area when it occurs, at least in my case.

"The Construction Limit Reached error appears to be localized to a specific area when it occurs, at least in my case" thats completely right.

You can test it by adding the same item (a light for example) on another. Depending on the complexity level you set in Settings, you'll be able to put items. If Ultra for example, you'll be able to ~30 - 50 but if low or mid you'll be able to put ~10

However I believe certain objects has some "construction point" namely they take more place than others and depending on this point / size you are able to put less or more objects.

I can't argue about Hello Games' design choice here but I think we need a numeric interface that can show us "how much limit we've left" what do you think?

Just encountered this myself, despite my settings have always been on ultra I got a limit reached, I barely have anything in my base though just the stuff the game wants me to put in it, only thing I could think that would create a limit is that I have built a few other bases on a few other planets too but the game won't let me place 1 wire like wtf is going on there? Imagine putting base building in your game then adding a limit, makes no sense, I can still place portable items no problem, stupid.
EMCM Magellan Aug 23, 2019 @ 1:34am
Imagine having only ONE base and having a hard limit of only 500 for complexity (because thats what we originally had), instead of the unlimited number of bases and a 5000 complexity that we have now.
