For the structure that requires power (ie storage container) you need to run the wiring from the battery.
If it doesn't work, check the menu in the generator/solar panel to ensure that enough required power is generating much. Since this is only one storage container, I'd assume from your OP that you are generating plenty of power though.
Hope that helps
battery to box
generator to box
all wired together to box
nadda.
I can only make half of my containers to accept power.
3 won't work no matter what i do.
Still the storage crate and hazard protection unit does not work. All wired in trying multiple wiring combos.. still nothing.
That is not true !
You access them, just not using the (E) normal interface on the front.
To get access :
Stand near them.
Open your backpack inventory
Select an empty spot in your backpack and press X
Now choose the "storage container" icon in the interface.(last of 4 i believe)
Transfer contents from storage container to your backpack.
Hope this helps.
you CAN access storage containers WITHOUT power !
I'll never (E) to access a storage container again. The inventory menu access is sooo much better.
(mods please sticky this !)
Had this same problem with an older previously installed storage container, this suggestion fixed it.
Yes and content was maintained !
