My thoughts - why? Unless you're on a Paradise or otherwise benign planet, you can't step outside without the suit. How would the mechanics of changing outfits work, given the way that NMS implements appearance changes? And where would you put your changes of clothes? If you have free space now, that will change.
That is, I'd rather have more free space for things that are useful than a change in outfit.
