Appearances without spacesuits
Im just thinking if we could get casual clothes/skins for our characters, a simple one will do. It just feels wrong to me to hangout on my base with full-on spacesuit. Thoughts?

You are species traveller. You may just be an animated space suit similar to the way that a Korvax is the program inside its shell and not the shell itself. You might even BE a broken and only partially self aware Korvax that doesn't realize that the reason it has been severed from the convergence is your bugged software acts as a computer virus that they can't purge and so they chose to purge you.

There may not be anything inside your suit but electricity and micro gears.

For the first three years, we did not even know what we looked like. It was first person all the time and no reflections or shadow. Some of the QS stuff can make a character that does not look like they are wearing a space suit.

As someone who never plays in third person, I really don't care.

There is nobody inside the suite. The suite does not need to breathe, eat, drink and visit WC. The man that was inside died ages ago...

My thoughts - why? Unless you're on a Paradise or otherwise benign planet, you can't step outside without the suit. How would the mechanics of changing outfits work, given the way that NMS implements appearance changes? And where would you put your changes of clothes? If you have free space now, that will change.

That is, I'd rather have more free space for things that are useful than a change in outfit.

Yes a casual wardrobe would be great - and lets not forget nude beaches!

Not quite accurate. The suit requires oxygen for life support and at least sodium for hazard protection. It could be like Men in Black where you are the little dude inside the big dude suit.

Actually according to this game lore, beware spoiler ahead: the whole universe is simulated and your character is virtual entity played by someone outside the simulator.

I know. I just presented it in a completely spoiler free method to someone who clearly hasn't gone far enough into the lore to understand why it is the way it is.
