Invisible VR hands (anyone has that too?)
Hello,

As title says, I'm just curious. Those who play in VR, did you guys notice that your hands became invisible (if show body ticked off, even if thats on, inside vehicles you dont have hands).
So just curious, do you guys have this issue aswell with Show body off, and hands disappearing too?
Sidenote: every time I leave my spaceship, for a second I see my hands and it goes back to invisible mode.
I keep Expedition5 on hold in case if someone else have this problem or if it will be patched, but since 2 patches came out, I started to wonder, so I rather ask other VR guys.

I tried both oculus airlink and Virtual Desktop aswell. Same issue. :/
(Ye got a Quest 2 as a HMD).

Thx for the feedback.

I run a Rift S and yes, I have invisible hands. Least of my worries though tbh, just being able to actually use the galactic map would be good lol

Same here with a HP G2 I've posted it in experimental branch (where they "HG" want us to post issues) but experimental turned into a free for all so I don't know if they still read it

Ahh okay. So it's better to.. switch back to flatscreen for a while I guess to finish the expedition. Doooh. After like 1300ish hours I got bored with NMS on flatscreen, then even with my low spec PC I tried it with VR and even if its not running at its best, still its one of the games in VR from flatscreen which has the feeling that "I know this game quite well already, but it feels like a new game in VR". If you know what I mean.
Anyway, thx for the infos. I hope they fix it soon.

yeah, some things just don't work in VR, too... the eyeball monster in the ocean, for one... in VR, it just doesn't see you so that milestone in Exp 5 cannot be done in VR...

I know exactly what you mean, despite all the things you CAN'T do in VR, this game is still 10 times more fun to play VR than it is flat. I HAD to learn flat screen keys to do stuff, still use it (no choice) but I wish HG would see how much better this game is in VR and work on a more refined version.... I doubt that it will happen though, they're after the big bucks

Yepp...Agree... When I got my VR headset, I stopped playing completely flatscreen games for like 7-10 months~. Some sadly dont work well as stated above + hardware demand is crazy for my small PC but still.... much different. Even Phasmo which is massively bugged in VR, had to go back to flatscreen and now its just a regular "go in get out no scare" kinda game for me.

The Solus Project is amazingly good game both flatscreen and in VR... I just log in for the immersion to watch the crazy weathers sometimes lol.
I had a mod for G.T.F.O to make it work in VR with motion trackers... well dude, now thats a crazy VR adaptation, the atmoshpere there and immersion is absolute killer in VR. Green Hell and Agony future VR release will be nice aswell.

Anyway I hope they fix at HG the VR problems or at least not break things what already worked before.
My left controller started to have joystick drift even with deadzone so not seeing my hands is kinda.. annyoing. lol.

Tho I still like this game, even if i have it nearly since start, and my poor old savefile was wrecked with the Beyond(?) or whichever update.

Lets see how this will unfold and if they fix it.

Hey, do you have any problems in the galactic map? I'm running a Rift S and the galaxy map is practically unuseable :(
the_mo101 Mar 4, 2022 @ 10:44am
Yes. When that happened, changing glove styles on a space station fixed it. Not this time.

Yup, no hands in the ship, but I thought that would be because I'm using the G2. Worked before the update though.

Updated today - entered cockpit, no hands. Surprisingly effective way of killing immersion!

Yep! Same issue here. No hands. And the galactic map giggles when in free move, Unless you move your view playing with it.

Yes! I have the same issue. I've been playing for a few days without issue, solely in VR. Today I opened flatscreen to see how performance was there, and when I went back to VR later in the day, no hands. I've deleted every config file and cache directory I can find, but still nothing.

No! My Galactic Map is fine, but it's hard to click on it, if you don't see your Finger. xD

Funny when you read the fixes in Experimental (which is beta for the next update) you see a lot of "fixed rare Crash of this and that", it would be fun if they fixed "OBVIOUS" bugs like this one. There's like 5 threads about peoples in VR with no hands in ships, we're about to start a " #Me Too for it loll
