now, if you have two or more bases and you build another overseer terminal, the existing overseer will move to the new terminal... same for each of the others, too... you can also place most of them in your freighter base but i've not tried that... i think the exocraft guy is the only one that cannot be in the freighter base...
The Science Tech will provide you some nanites for exploration data every 24 hours.
The Agri Tech will provide you a small gift for a specific amount of a crop. If you are already growing and storing it, it takes about a minute to get it out and give to the Tech.
The other Techs have more complicated and stupid quests that don't really seem worth doing after you do it once. You will have to decide on that for yourself.
Be aware that the tutorial mission which becomes the Artemis missions and the Atlas Path mission only work if you have a land base. They will not work if you have your main base and tech stations on a freighter.
In my regular save I do the base computer missions from time to time, seems I can come across newer more interesting planets that way than plain system hopping.
