How does one get a Sentinel Quad Companion?

I've noticed at least one person here on the Forums has gotten a Baby Quad egg and managed to hatch it.

How would I do that?

Expedition 5 which hasn't started yet....so probably save editor or a mod...or just saw post that there maybe a bug giving them out early lol

It's all in the new save editor, the pet robot dog, the exotic jetpack, exotic armor all the stuff that's still not available at the quick silver store.
But I think it voids your expedition if you do it that way, meaning your expedition will be marked as completed

Hang out in the anomaly and keep asking for a baby quad egg? Someone might gift it to you. Not sure how that exactly works cross platform but the theory should work.

they recently had, what i'm believing is the same thing as a twitch drop... you just needed to watch someone stream the game on twitch at the time and you'd unlock that and a bunch of other things, like ships and multitools for your account.
they did it for the launch of worlds part 1, so i'd suggest when worlds part 2 is announced, watch for any info on more twitch drops..
do the quad pets make eggs?? or would you have to have saved the egg you get as a reward?

found my answer.. have to go to a scorched planet and it should give an egg... so in theory i can make more eggs....
not real familiar with the game though, how would i give one away? would i have to meet someone in game live, or can you "mail it" or could i leave it at my base for someone to pick up???

Can't mail things unfortunately. But it cam be easily traded from.your inventory. Within proximity of the other player, move the egg like you would if you were transferring it to your ship or freighter, your friend's name will show up in that list
