Do I lose my progress after beating the game?

so basically i heard you get all the portal glyphs for doing the main story but im worried if i finnish the game all my stuff will be reset eg: ships, freighter, backpack items, etc. so im just wondering if i'll keep all my progress because i have more than 70 hours in my save file and i dont wana lose it.

No, you don't lose anything.

The end of the main quest does not effect your collected items and milestones.

You keep everything. But. When you jump to another galaxy, the end of the story line, every tech visible - in the general section of your pack, your ship, and your MT - breaks. Most of us hide all our important tech in the tech compartments of suit and ship and equip a junk MT.

Technically, you don't beat the game, you just finish a mission. You don't lose anything. If you change galaxies your suit and ship will be broken and you will need to do some repairs.

If you have a freighter with storage containers you probably will be able to fix 90% of the broke stuff in a few minutes. Having the matter beam installed on your freighter is very helpful. You may have to search out a few items needed for repairs.

also broken, at lest in my case was the settlment quest and the base computer quests. those broke when i jumped to the next galaxy, so i just abanded my settlement. i don't care, all that work building it up just to generate 200k worth of trade goods each day. .

You can also take a rank C ship and a base C rotten gun and your good to go
After "the end" (there is no spoon) you will have all the galaxy to visit freely.
