Sentinel Pillars.
In my current game, Normal, I do not yet have the Tag Along Sentinel. Over the last couple of days, I have found Two Sentinel Pillars where the Patrol Sentinels at those locations have already Been Killed before I get there...
Why would that be happening?

Unless there is crossover in my account, between Games Saves, that should not be occurring...

I found a 3 rd one like these right after posting this...
Come to think of it, I was on a Hostile Sentinel Planet, and had just done in 3 waves of Attacking Sentinels, and got a message they were Disabled. Would that knock out all on the planet for a time??
When Sentinels are disabled any that spawn on locations are immediately destroyed. No sentinels will spawn for whatever reason. Great if you need a few million quick, you can keep collecting gravitino balls on an aggressive Sentinel planet at your leisure.

lol i was visiting old bases trying to figure what was on their planet and i apparently built a starting base on one with swarms of angry sentinals that even if you fly to space sends ships ...tons of ships after you. i musta killed 5 groups of ships before i desided to leave

Yep. If you do not avoid them long enough to have them Deactivate, (Stop the Search), they will always do that. They do not stop searching until you dock on a space station as I understand...

If you get caught like that in space again, simply call the Anomaly station, if you can. Land there and the chase is over. It's too easy actually and a bit disappointing it IS that easy. Especially as Hello Games have given us the ability to use Emergency Tech you can install on your ship to escape instantly with a bit of damage penalty, which is arguably more useful on something like Permadeath, where escape using that tech can be essential.

The more difficult modes perhaps give a better sense of danger, more so now with the sentinel update that has raised the bar of battle.

As above you can also land on any freighter or your own or the space station (if there is one) to escape. Providing the entrances are not flashing warning orange, preventing landing. You might escape through a black hole or the Atlas station possibly.

As a last resort just keep flying away until eventually you can use your pulse drive or break pirate line of sight, or can land on a planet to dig a hole! :)

The Sentinel space ships can be battled though, with Rockets being particularly useful vs. freighter guns as their range is farther than the Sentinels'. Just gotta stay away from the broadsides, plus keep your ship's shield powered up.
