Is it actually possible to get a small S class freighter?

Is it only the huge freighters that can be s class? Or can the smaller ones be too. All the pictures I see of peoples S class freighters are the star destroyers or dreadnaughts.

Small freighters come in all classes. The only benefit to the larger, capital freighters is that they start with more cargo slots

I found a small S class in the third system I visited when I started looking. The only downside is they don't have many slots. You can get bulkheads and expand it but it started like 19 slots or so and will take forever to get to 48.

Nice, thanks for confirmimg that they do exist. I found a freighter I really like the look of and will keep forever in a 3 star economy. I found an A class, but I think I'm gonna keep reloading for an S class. Do you know what is the difference in stats between the A class and S class?

Once you've upgraded their inventories I think the only difference between A ans S is you get an extra row of technology slots, so 21 for S vs 14 for A.
