As for the easy way to score points in planetary zoology, then you just need to look for systems where there are irregular exotic planets. They are inhabited by only one type of animal, which is almost next to the landing place of your spaceship. By opening this only animal, you will gain points for planetary zoology if you click on the paw symbol in the discovery menu.
WooHoo!! That's what I was doing wrong. I had several planets where I had found 1 out of 1 species without getting that milestone so I just figured solo species planets don't count. When I went back through them I found that paw symbol you mentioned.
Now I have 4 zoology milestones.
BartDes you are a Hero !
I was also stuck with this, i had a 1/1 discovery but it didnt milestone (i assumed it was due to being a Moon not a planet. Then...
"… if you click on the paw symbol in the discovery menu " - THAT UPPER PAW SYMBOL NOT THE LOWER ONE !!!! 😂
Soooo happy, Polo will now talk with me and hopefully hand over some Goodies, Yeah
Nothing prepares you for either...you just gotta guess it out.
Quite right. I jumped to the far side of the planet and eventually found number 9. I only saw one, just briefly, but that was enough to tag it.
