Hop into the space station of the Gek system, scan all the ships as new waves of ships come then move on to the next system if there isn't a 48 slot ship. That's how I got my 48 slot S class hauler.
Gek systems will get you more variants of haulers
Vy'Keen systems will get you more variations of fighters
Korvax systems will get you more variations of explorers.
The only one that comes in equal numbers whatever the race is, are shuttles.
So while you can (and will) find good haulers in other system than Gek, RNG gods are still more on your side if you go in weathy (and all other synonyms) Gek systems.
Now also, just be aware that those large S class haulers will be around 150 millions units
Two main styles with variations. Reddish 'industrial'; no wing/small wing 20+ slot, large wing 30+ slot. Light blue or white fan wing (some stub tail) 40+ slot. They are frequent here at the trade depot.

Edit: Just went there in normal, and as stated above yes, they will spawn there.
