Noticed this one in my latest save. With the portable refiner, you have to move your character away from it, to the point you are almost out of range to open the refiner, to be able to see the whole UI.
Of course not WE'RE the beta testers, they shove it on and wait for responses then fix what THEY think is important. At least that's what it looks like
And as mentioned the positioning of them depends on your position relative to the refiner. The start/stop button can be essentially off-screen.
?!?
Do try a silo. 🤣
I haven't tried a portal as I don't have all the glyphs in my current game.
Normally I'm not that critical of Hello's development process -- they are sloppy cleaning up bugs for sure, but the killer bugs do seem to get fixed ... eventually .-- but this patch is terrible.
I had "weather zooming" in the refiner UI. W.T.F.
This could be true. It's possible that a QA/QC department is far more expensive than allowing the community to beta-test - especially if there's an experimental version.
Also been using different portals and all working as they should.
Could be a one-off and you found the broken 1. Is it the same with other portals for you?
I have many Sound Bugs since Patch.
Just asking. As I say, it's very early days for me.
Pop in has been more of an issue since Expeditions was released but if you simply sit and wait a bit the graphics do eventually load in. I had to wait almost 3 minutes for a frigate that I needed to repair to fully load and I've had several instances where terrain loaded incompletely and it caused my avatar to fall through the geometry. This has been particularly annoying when my freighter doesn't load and I fall through the geometry into space.
The visual will zoom in and out, and the weather (and weather sound) will ramp back and forth between indoor and outdoor.
It's an *incredibly* annoying behavior that for some reason has never been addressed, or never addressed successfully so far as I can tell.
I don't mind "indoor weather" (well, I do, everyone does) but zooming can be really hard to eliminate, as weather can "come in" through relatively small cracks from strange angles, not just from obvious places overhead.
I feel like you haven't played since this most recent patch, or you're playing on a platform that behaves differently.
The silo UI ... geez are you kidding me? The quantity flickers between 0/grayed out and whatever it actually is. In order to retrieve the goods, you have to stand in the right place and find the right spot for the cursor. Completely new breakage.
The refiner UI: It now *moves* depending where you stand. The boxes are now extremely faint. And yes repeating zooming can now occur in the refiner UI, which if ever happened before, was so unusual that I don't remember it.
If you are standing farther back from the refiner, the UI is more likely to be in a "good" place.
Frigate parts loading, again, you are assuming and not knowing. That frigate simply did not load once I was dismounted on it. When I was off it in my starship, it was fine. OTOH I can't recall having the experience that terrain or parts that had not loaded were not actually collision detected or inactive. They're just invisible. Maybe there is mesh that doesn't load at all but I haven't seen that even once that I'm aware of. I've had "ordinary" terrain glitches during manipulation, exiting vehicles, building, etc.
To people mentioning mods, sure, but I don't and never have played with mods.
It takes maybe 4-6 weeks to raise most or all of a complete set of frigates up to S via mission XP. Once they are all S and A, generally there won't be any more damaged frigates as you can 4- and 5-star every mission. But A-class frigates in the wild are rare, and looking for a particular type makes it 4x worse.
