This patch ... I wonder if Hello plays the game ... their repo get hacked? ... or what?
I don't want to be "that guy" and I believe I am not "that guy" but ... this last patch ...

On PC at least:
* Refiner UI is hosed
* Silo UI is TOTALLY hosed
* Even more indoor areas are "weather zooming"
* Non-workingness of Cloaking Unit is nearly complete in at least one of my bases
* Even more building parts are taking foreeeever to load (something was "optimized"?)

I had a frigate needing repair that never loaded, to the point where I would have had to repair it by literally "space walking."

I mean, *sigh*, seriously

This is supposed to be, what, Expedition community tweaks? Did their repository get hacked?

Honestly this is the first batch of bugs that had absolutely *nothing* to do with the patch notes that I've seen. This is absolutely crazy nonsense.

Dear Hello:

I absolutely love aged distilled spirits. I hope that you do too. They are one of humanity's greatest achievements.

But: Please de-correlate your team's enjoyment of them with your golden master releases.

The refiner UI is glitched for me too, but only since the latest patch rather than the Expeditions update.

When using my couple of large refiners and a medium on my freighter, by standing slightly further back and being careful to click on each refiner dead centre I can just about manage to interact with both input and output, they both are just about half on my screen.

I have never put any mods in or attempted to use the editor - too risky in games that are still subject to significant updates IMO.

Hello Games had a brilliant idea with this game.

Unfortunately they have the absolute worst UI designers, Quality Control teams and mod support in the whole gaming industry.

So it is up to us Players to figure out how to make it playable. And of course, after being burned once we'd be stupid to ever pay for another one of their titles or expansion. The probably already know this, and it is likely the reason why they don't charge for updates.

^pretty good summary of NMS. A great concept with unlimited potential that is consistently screwed up by a half a**ed, mostly incompetent team of dev.

TBH, i believe HG could do better, fix stupidly obvious issues like the jigsaw inventory in EC or the laughably unbalanced economy system... i don't think they lack the expertise do fix such simple things, i think they lack the work ethic.

in my experience with many professionals, there are a million reasons NOT to do good work, but only ONE reason to do good work... you won't allow yourself to do less.

unfortunately for a brilliant original concept, NMS dev team doesn't have that drive.
I know they have a very small team, but that does not explain why they start so many good things and then leave them buggy or even incomplete before jumping into something else. The only explanation I could think of is a medical condition normally treated with Ritalin. If that were the case, the game issues aren't going to get better. But I am just guessing.
