How do you switch Multi-Tools?

So the NPC at the Weapons Terminal in my base has offered me a new Multi-Tool and I get 3 options:

1. Take Multi-Tool (Free) - Buy and add to collection

2. Exchange - Trade in current Multi-Tool

3. Decline - Refuse the Multi-Tool

If I select option 1, I get the new Multi-Tool but my current Multi-Tool disappears. It's not in my Inventory, Storage, Starship or Exocraft. How do I switch back to my old Multi-Tool? The mods that I have on it do better damage and scanner range than the new one and I want to transfer them over (dismantling and re-crafting them, if I have to).

Dantrrax82: You want to bring up the small menu bar that appears in the bottom center of the screen. Move to the (typically) far left and look for a 'gear' icon. Select the 'gear', then move (again) to the far left. There should be a 'swap multitool' icon. Select that, and a list of your (up to three) multitools will be shown for you to pick.
