what's the point of the freighter geobay?

even after building it i still need to build actual exocraft bays on the planets and or system i'm currently in. why can't i just build one on the freighter and be done with it? there is honestly no point to building the geobay on the freighter. if i build an exocraft bay somewhere on a planet, i don't have to build another to summon it to me. why do i have to do that with the freighter?

and while we're here, remove the limit on save beacons and exocraft bays per planet. why is there even a limit? why do i need to be forced to share them with other players? let me build my own.

You need to build one exopad in any planet, not in the current system.
If you build all the exopads in the starting system (as an example), you won't ever need to build another once you build the room in your freighter.

thanks you two. i figured out my problem. even though i had already built about six different exocraft pads through out my game play, for some reason the game didn't recognize any of them when i built my geobay launcher on the freighter. i just ended up building a new pad after i built the geobay launcher and that seemed to have fixed the issue now and i can summon my exocrafts as intended now. probably a bug as all the info i read told me that building the geobay with an already existing exocraft pad should have been it.
