Expedition rendezvous/Milestone: Target sweep bugged

Target sweep to find Rendezvous 5 keeps saying "Too weak for distance estimate" no matter how far I've traveled.

it does the same thing for the milestone "Their Lost Children".

Multiple milestones cannot be completed, expedition cannot be completed.

Same. I can't gather Vile Spawn because the worm nests no longer spawn for me. I put in a Zendesk ticket, I dunno.

same thing happened to me with the vilespawn. to fix it I just warped to another worm infested system and walked around on an infested world until I found a hive. they seem to spawn like animals, so just walk around without the visor on and you should come across one.

A trick for finding the rendezvous points is to scan for buildings, and go to the one closest to the rendezvous. that is usually where you need to go

Yeah Im getting the same thing, but im not even sure fossils SPAWN on these planets

go back to a different infected planet and try there
The planet exp 4 starts on has bones , also worms , nests, cursed mineral

yeah thats mighty helpful considering I had this issue on this exact system

I think the very first planet has bones, but if you don't want to do that, you can try to get the ancient bones quest at the nexus

So I gotta go all the way back to the beginning of the quest path, or hope that the ancient bones quest pops up at the nexus.

If I get any more of these issues, I'm gonna stop right then. This Expedition and its' rewards really aren't for me; in fact the rewards are kinda disgusting TBH.

Disgusting final rewards, game-breaking bugs... I'm only in it for the giant sand worm Companion, so if I encounter any more bugs or inconveniences, I'm just gonna take a hard pass on the rest of the Expedition.

There are bones on several of the planets in these systems. Everything you need won't be just on the worm planets.

You don't need a quest for bones, they're a resource on planets.

Okay, I finished despite this bug. Fortunately I had a base on a worm world. I just blindly walked around till I visually saw one of those suspended worm hives and ran towards it. The worms spawned and was able to complete the mission. They do need to fix that scanner bug tho.

you are probably on the wrong planet.

I had this issue when i was trying to get bones, i realized the planet didn't have any to find, so i decided to just keep doing the other things first.
Finally found a planet with tons of bones and built I think a neat base on it. I call it the Arctic Fossil Outpost.

Also due to lots of players, the game takes a bit to load things, and it will display places that other players already have found.

I got to see a few other players today =^_^=.

One landed on the arctic planet, and a few others landed on the planet In the system I and many other players went to visit the atlas....also got to see a few on on some of the space stations. =^_^=

Pzychic Kitty: I'm on the same planet as the rendezvous marker. So if I'm on the wrong planet then the wrong planet is marked for rendezvous.

yeah its bugged I think because its SAYING that there is a resource there that isnt, so your always "too far away".
I did end up trying a few things, becuase I thought it was a specific type of bone you could only get on the worm planets but it turns out its not.
I just went a few systems over and found a planet with fossils and it counted.
But it was weird, on the original system I spent like an hour going in circles because it said it was always to my left but there was nothing there.

Varagonax: It's not just resources. The same bug happens when you try and reach the rendezvous point on that planet.
