Spawn beneath your skin
The last objective is bugged, the target sweep won't find a titan worm burrow even less than 200u away from it... I had to create a new expedition and write down the coordinates to find one...

i'm having the same issue. did you have to do the whole expedition on the new save, or just the coordinates and go back to your nearly done one?

Have you tried switching over to the analysis visor and looking for the worm burrow icon? I think that's what I did.

I had to wander around until one was close enough to appear on my radar. Definitely not working properly.

Don't use the target sweep, switch back to standard analysis visor. Definetly a problem with sweep on this.

Just fly around slowly until you find one. They are easy to spot from the air and tailing a Titan Worm will also take you to burrows.

Wait, you mean when it says follow a worm they mean to actually follow a worm. Who'd a thought.:steammocking:

I created a new one and went back with the coordinates. I also created a save becon but that did not work.

follow the worms and use the normal scanner, at that point in the expedition the target sweep wont pick any up

Mine worked fine today but there were only two on scan and radar. They were both up high.

Don't use the target sweep, just use the normal scanner, suddenly they'll be all over the place.

Is there any way to turn off the target sweep or delete it completely? From my experience, it's both redundant, and less than useless, and you have to switch out of it every time you want to use the normal scanner.

Don't have the task that uses it highlighted.

That is a workaround, but then you don't see the status of the task.

Yes it's a workaround. It's all I know to offer. Target sweep is very much needed, obviously. There is another work around and that is to move your arrow button over to the scanner when you need the scanner. There is no way to actually shut it off or remove it. If you're concerned about knowing your status of the task then why would you want to turn it off or remove it?

Most, but I guess, not all, things that it points out are already in the normal scanner, such as the burrow sites, and ancient bone burial sites, etc, and, as this post points out, it is not very accurate. I've had it directing me to something hundreds of meters away, when I'm almost standing in front of the same thing already.

IMO, even if it did work correctly, you don't need a big box with flashing yellow arrows, leading you to something that you can clearly see already highlight. Also, if, say, you want to dig up some technology modules on your way to wherever it's leading you, it becomes very annoying when it keeps popping up the flashing display, when you just want to use the normal scanner.

It would be fine if they would just leave the scanner selection on whatever you had selected last, but to switch it every time you bring it up is (IMO) annoying.
