Space station "override"??!!

Space stations now have a "Station Core" with an option to "override" with the right item.
Very interested to see what this adds to the game, when I figure out how to get the override needed! Has anyone found this yet?

I'm really hoping it lets me claim the station or system- it'll probably just hand out coordinates or give an item or something. But as soon as I noticed the option, I came straight to the steam forums in search of an answer. Nothing yet.

The text preceding the use override refered to flight paths. I think it has something to do with what ships land at the station. This may be a way to summon a nice ship you want to buy.

Abandoned systems do not have the computer in the launch bay BTW. Only on living stations so far.

I've checked some galactic trade terminals, the synthesizer thing on the anomaly (pretty sure it's the same as the manufacturing facility blueprint store), and I didn't find one of those cores. I'm currently waiting to see if you get them from freighter expeditions; currently waiting on combat, balanced, trade, and industrial, in case you only get them from one type of expedition. Will report back when these expeditions are finished.

well patch notes are out and they only mention that the space station core will be watching, nothing about the overrride and how to optain it.

Pretty sure whatever this override is it will be fully introduced during an expedition. Would be a waste to just introduce something and hide it and then later struggle to find goals for an expedition.

I'd assume it'll go by class of ship rather than a specific type: maybe you'd have the option to only allow Haulers to land or something. Probably not allowing you to select Exotic but allowing those to land regardless of what you select.

Nope. When they do activate it, I'm sure it will be pretty obvious.

Depends on how hard it is to obtain. I'm upgrading my settlement just in case it is a rare becomes a rate reward from there.

It doesnt do anything lol You get one in the expedition its just a big troll item. It says counterfeit acces denied xD
