Goodbye Games - No Man's Bug-Riddled Disappointment
After a year and a half of staring at the battery counting up instead of down when your grid is on battery power and wondering what is so hard about re-writing a 6-line subroutine, I've decided to write No Man's Sky and Hello Games off completely.

I bought NMS right after the Foundation update, because I felt like it was going in a great direction despite its gloriously botched-to-the-point-of-this-is-fraud launch. I played it to its endgame at the time and put it away until Beyond. Beyond brought so much cool stuff it was easy to get lost and forget that every last bug present in Foundation was still alive and well in Beyond. Each update to this game brought a stack of new features but no bug fixes.

Sure, they picked out random issues that don't affect anything, fixed them and called them 'bug fixes', but the wide majority of 'bugs fixed' in this game have come in the form of the player community finding or modding workarounds, not in the form of a stitch of effort from Hello Games.

There are bugs that allow people to cheat rampantly, even in multiplayer. You can dupe items in your personal refiner by transferring trash to other players (whether they want it or not). You can edit your save file and make nexus missions a thing you never do. You can edit your save file and give yourself items locked behind time gates. You can install mods to remove time gates. You can install mods to exponentially increase your rewards for everything - or you can edit your save file and just give yourself everything. You spend more time digging your bases out of the ground every few days than you do enjoying them. There are solar systems that eat your freighter or insta-kill you if you travel to them. You can install mods to make your ship faster, make you invulnerable, and so on and so forth - and you can do ALL of these things in a live, multiplayer environment, because you know, eff balance or a sense of fair play.

The fact that HG puts so much effort into new features and so little into fixing anything that actually needs fixing has left me with a fairly sour taste in my mouth after all these years, and not only do I no longer recommend No Man's Sky, but I would dissuade anyone reading this (as well as anyone who asks me going forward) from supporting Hello Games' future endeavors. I've left a negative review and uninstalled the game.

This would be a great game if HG put half the effort into fixing bugs that they do into releasing new content. It's a shame they've got their heads firmly planted somewhere that never sees daylight.

It's worth mentioning that I never said I'm done. I said I've written HG and NMS off. That doesn't mean that I'm not willing to spend time motivating people away from them...that's just being a responsible gamer.

You know whats crazy, you can leave without making all this noise lol. Literally no one cares that you dont like that game because youre in a forum of people that do like it. You arent going to convert anyone as youre leaving (who's comin with me??), so dont let the space door hit you on the way out. Or better yet, just use the airlock without a spacesuit.
Also, You think that turning people off of games you dont like is being a "responsible gamer"??? How?? that's called being a self important piece of trash. If this game wasnt good, it wouldnt still be a best seller on every chart. It has to be hard for you to be this dumb.

OR - and bear with me, here - I can make as much noise as I want on the way out (or I can stand in the doorway and hold it open, for that matter). Maybe you'll come with me, maybe you won't. Maybe I'm just here to be here and make my opinion known.

How you feel about what I can do with my opinion has no bearing on my opinion, whether nor not I voice it, or how often.
Do you see that logic you applied to my posts? Now just apply that to yourself trying to tell other people about their opinions lol. How is it that you can get there yourself but you cant see the blinding irony of admitting it??

So, mods exist and that is bad.
Ok.

I'm actually not interested in your - or anyone else's - opinion, and am merely here to share mine. Not sure where you got that I care about you or your opinion in any way.

Fix what? It's primarily a single-player game. You're not competing with anyone, stop worrying about what other people do. It literally does not affect you in any way.

There is one thing I will agree with, however, and that's having people stuff your inventory against your will. MP on or off, this should not be possible.
HAHAHA you aren't interested in anyone's opinion but here you are on the internet starting an argument with an entire forum of people. Your ignorance and lack of self awareness is hilarious to me but embarrassing for you.

MP was a mistake.

A) Fix refiner bug present since anomaly existed
B) Allow players to toggle whether or nor they can receive items the same way all other MP features are toggle: off, group, any

Either would fix that.
