vulkan drivers required

I would really like to play this game, but it says i am missing the "vulkan" driver. here is my system info:
graphics: AMD Radeon 7470
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz 2.67 GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Your card doesn't support Vulkan. You have to buy a new one.

You presumably can't, but... I was able to play on a pre-vulkan laptop from 2013. Mine had an Nvidia chip and it would give me the error but then it would play.
