How is it I'm so unlucky that I'm just running into explored systems?

I need 10 undiscovered systems right? If the "majority" are undiscovered, why the hell am I just running into discovered ones all the time? This is really getting tiresome. I've been exploring for over 2 hours. ALL I find are discovered systems. Been going WAAAAAAAAAAY far out to find new systems. I can't find sweet F all.

This indeed is a bit of a unnecessary task. The more visited and successful the Expedition event is the more you're screwed with finding new systems. I'm about 30k light
years away now.. Flying round here since forever, feels much like a Hyperfuel-simulator right now. All for a save file I'll never use again after that.

I mean... yes, at least you have the option to convert it, but.. who does that if he has played on a savegame before? I mean as you can get the Normandy with any other Save as well afterwards.

First: I started from the starting system and angled the camera DOWN. It's amazing how often people forget they can do that. First undiscovered system was three jumps out, abut 1200 light years. Only encountered one discovered system after that.

Second: set your network status to offline. Poof, nothing's discovered. Nothing you try to remain will stick, but you'll get the milestone all the same.

Anyone still struggling with this try taking a nexus mission that warps you somewhere else make sure to visit the space station in that system, after completing the mission use the nexus portal to go back to that system and use that as the start position to search for uncharted systems.
PS. for whatever reason with MP disabled (i think...not sure) some of R1-5, nexus mission systems and the Normandy system may count as uncharted.

If the game isn't checking with the server, EVERY system you haven't discovered counts as uncharted.

Yeah I wanted access to my rewards forever. Lol so had to finish it.

On the subject of unlocking everything for other saves, uhh... the "complete the expedition" box is not ticked. Is that bad? I've completed all the phases, but that lone box is unticked.

this one milestone is infuriating. I've spent so much fuel just trying to find one gaht damn undiscovered system and I just keep butting up against other people's progress. This was terribly thought out
