Unlock first expedition and TWITCH rewards.

Informations about your Expedition progress (and not only) is stored on YOUR PC!
That's right. If you uninstall or reinstall your game you will loose all the informations about unlocked rewards. So make a copy.

Go to steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS and edit GCUSERSETTINGS.MXML.

Between:

<Property name="UnlockedSeasonRewards">
---> ADD HERE <---
</Property>

Add:

Just lie and tell everyone you have it all.

Seriously, without some super programming expertise, I am pretty sure the saves are not transferrable between players. They are coded to your Steam Account...not sure how it works on consoles.

Otherwise it would be a major FUBAR where two players had the same bases, freighters, and ships all in the same location.

I don't think that NMS saves are linked to the account.

Is the only new line you have from exp#2 and it only unlocks the Historiographical diosimeter... which appears to be useless outside the expedition?
This doesn't unlock anything else from exp#2; eg the Normandy

I deleted that line.
This post is about old rewards from the first expedition which you cannot unlock by playing.

Is there a file/folder I could copy without saving so much, that just has the Save information?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS
You can archive the entire folder SETTINGS or just GCUSERSETTINGS.MXML
