More to the point, I was hoping for someone to recognize the issue, and maybe tell me how to avoid or work around it. Waiting for it to actually get FIXED seems like a... less than efficient course of action.
Edit: nope still works, the traveler doesn't actually give you anything in your inventory but if you fly out of the station a coord. will be visible on a planet of the system you fly out there and find a futuristic little tombstone like thing it worked for me anyways I just tried it and I have all of my gliphs
Makes sense, and I really wish I had something to offer, but this is a new one for me. It sounds like you tried all the stuff it could have been, so the last thing that there is is to see if there's a grave anywhere you've been at any part of the planet. I'm hoping they're not single-spawn, though. I'm also thinking that might be woefully inefficient. I don't know, man, that's a tough one. If it helps, I did find traveller graves without NPC assist, so it's possible but not as fun. Hope this gets resolved for you!
And 500 Nanites most definitely isn't 'nothing'. In fact, it's exactly 500 Nanites. Also, an hour of time is one hour, and 7 warp-jumps is 7 Warp Cells. To be even more precise, I'm not CRYING, I'm SWEARING, because this ♥♥♥♥ PISSES ME OFF. The lost nanites are just adding insult to injury... or injury to insult, I suppose. The insult's what really burns, either way.
They don't, they give you an opportunity to get a glyph, you let the alien speak and at the end it says extract glyph, you do it and you have one more glyph in your bunch
In any case something must be wrong with your game (mods or something) cause it still works
No mods, incidentally, though as mentioned, I WAS in multiplayer, which can make strange things happen, I suppose. I think I've cooled down enough by now to try and log in and see if the old 'turning it off and on again' approach might work...
Ahem. When I booted the game up again, the problem had fixed itself... SORTA. I was able to get grave-directions from the two Travelers in the station I had logged out in. However, when I returned to the earlier stations, where I had already paid the Travelers, there were still no waypoints, and talking to them revealed that they still 'remembered' me paying them for the info, hence I could not do so again.
I’ve had countless times that I landed at TP - I scanned, saw graves, extracted glyphs. Then returned to TP to hunt ships and only then discover a Traveller walking around, lol. Too late, already got the glyphs. :-)
