Game runs like butter (Steam version) on my system. 4th gen CPU.
Granted I'm using 1080p 60 hz, so that might be a factor in the difference between my experience and yours. But it's run beautifully on my system, even when I still had a 1660 Ti.
The 3060 Ti just let me crank every option up to Ultra. The only stutter I ever get is when I exit the atmosphere, just for a fraction of a second, before hitting outer space.
But the game is really buggy so I'm not gonna convince anyone to purchase it, especially at a full price, if they have doubts.
The stutter when leaving atmosphere happens to all regardless of how powerful their hardware is. It's just the way it is.
How do people have bugs in NMS? My experience with the game, almost 2k hours, has been basically completely bug free.
This game has it's problems but they are quite minor in comparison and at least the devs actually care and have some pride in what they do.
that must be why. I don't do missions; and rarely build bases. I just explore.
Or it's the most valid. Clearly my style creates the best game experience. If everyone played NMS like I do, it would be the most beloved game ever created.
This isnt that kind of game. This isnt a 'get rich and get the best stuff' type of game. Basebuilding and doing quests for npcs was never supposed to be a major part of NMS.
The game is supposed to be about nomadic exploration and discovery. That's it.
No. You don't tell others what the game is supposed to be about. The game has many aspects that are there to be exploited and enjoyed. Exploration is just one part of the game. The beauty of the game is indeed that you can make your own game indeed. But many people enjoy running missions, building, farming, etc and if you try to experience the game to its fullest then you will see a lot more problems with it.
The game is perfect for me and more than 60 fps, logically I play at the default quality of the game
Remember several things:
- By default the game is limited to 30 fps, change it to 60fps or 120fps depending on your monitor
- The antivirus of Windows 10/11 can have activated the protection of the core, which makes your games really slow, the first time I realized it was with DaysGone, having it activated towards the game running at 5 fps, was to remove it and work at more than 60 fps
- Game with multiplayer activated can produce crashes of 1 second, if it is true that this happens to me, but not always
It can't be that my 10-year-old computer works better than yours

The game slowdown caused by Memory Integrity/Core Isolation in Windows 11 is largely a myth. It was never an issue in Windows 10. MS has an article saying that in "some scenarios and some configurations" (meaning "pretty freaking rare") it may affect performance on Windows 11, but we're talking few percent at worst, not a difference of 5-60 fps like you say. Some tech bloggers tried to benchmark it and they got like 5% in the worst case scenario on older hardware. Memory Integrity/Core Isolation in Windows 11 is an important security feature, please don't suggest that people should turn it off. The problem is that once you turn it off it may be impossible to turn it back on so it's not worth the risk.
I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 last Summer on the same hardware and I have not noticed any difference in gaming performance and I did not mess with Memory Integrity.
