Some players also have been altering the clock times of their PCs to speed up the new Companions egg hatching. Clock timers can cause problems with base doors opening or not opening, so maybe 'egg timers' have caused your game to incorrectly sync with multiplay? There could be any number of reasons timings and syncing of servers don't connect due to corrupted data. I've been using the save editor occasionally for years, all the way back to the foundations version, and have never had any troubles with it. When you start it up, it will tell you if there's a newer version. Click the Help menu item to see where you can download an update. The current version, as of 2/25/2021, is 1.7.2.
