Are all Exotic ships bubble and squid?

Hey guys! Finally accumulated some dough to allow purchase of an exotic.
I'm not rushing it, just biding my time and snatching an opportunity when it comes.

But what I've noticed, is that all exotics I come across are either "bubbles" with various types of oversized wings (or none) or squid, which I saw couple of times in the Anomaly.

Both of them are just not my type.
And I have a growing suspicion that the types of ships I saw from the very beginning of the game - it's all there is to the ship variety.

It's great and all, and not a major gripe of some sort, but I was expecting even more ships diversity in the future. Is my impression true, that there are basically two types/classes of an Exotic? Thank you

Yes, there's two main types of Exotic. If you don't like them, check out the other types of ship.

I guess a living ship also counts as an exotic. Does it have a unique cockpit?

Actually no, Living Ships are their own class. And yes, they have a nice biological-y cockpit.

I believe these fighters have been removed from the game, but if you see one, snap it up. The asymmetrical winged fighters with a droid were always rare...now I fear they are extinct.

The droid ships are still around I see them not often but enough to see different kinds of wings and colors to them

Lol yeah, the living ships could look better. They're not appealing, and it's only because I did that stupid quest chain that I'm keeping mine, and also the off-chance that HG will actually revisit the content to finish the damn things. Economy scanners, conflict scanners, matter transporters, and a slew of weapons still to go before I consider it finished. Oh, and system upgrades. Right now I can choose between a cargo and technology bay full of modules that make my ship awesome, and a living ship that is barely above a B class new ship. Hmm, what to do, what to DO...

By the way, did you know you can get double upgrades, bypassing that whole power thing to soup up your ship, simply by putting them in technology and cargo both? I just figured it out a fortnite ago. I've got nearly 4k jump range at the moment, and 1k shields and full power engine speed without boost. It's kind of obscene, but I'm not complaining.

They still have those ships around. I found this one about 2 weeks ago and decided to keep it. Was in a system where most of the fighters were these.

They were talking about fighters with different wings on each side (asymmetric) not just simple droid wings.

Some of them look great, in my opinion. The problem is, it's just some of them, so you have to somehow roll the dice to get the one you are content with
