"Yeah'... I do the Re-Load thing myself... and Goodness knows I need the Slot Space; but this whole language part of the game is so cool... I gotta learn it all; or, at the least, understand it. LOL :)
Thanx all of the info!!!
That said, they are worthless IMO.
Yeah, imagine my disappointment when they started speaking in tongues after I knew every word there was. Atlas, Korvax, Gek, Vy'Keen, Native Modern Human Language... there's no other languages in the game that I know of. Dude, if you don't want me to know what you're saying, don't speak. Talk in a language we've all agreed on, or shut up. You're a damn Korvax, telepath your buddy.
Who's the idiot that thought it would be funny to come up with a 6th unlearnable language for no reason? I went through all this trouble to get every translator and arrange them in my inventory for maximum possible effect, and you're still going to pull this ♥♥♥♥? Grrrrrrrr....
Yeah, the translators are puzzling. Back in the early days, the NPCs in the station would say the things they say now...but you actually got dialog options to respond. A bad response might get you punched and a great response would get you a gift. When you could not understand the language, it was pretty much a guessing game on how to respond.
It seems that whoever decided to build the translator addons was not in the loop because they introduced them with the same update that took away the actual dialog options and turned the NPCs into vending machines so now it does not matter what they say..you just get the same options regardless.
I make the joke "Entire encyclopedia for one word" every time I come across "encyclopedias" in alien buildings. I can just imagine opening a book and there's only one word on one page, and the rest of the book is just a cardboard box made to look like a book.
