So has anyone else tired to go to the crashed exotic ships, only to find that someone has intentionally built over it and you can not get to it?
I have, and it's starting to get really annoying. Is there anything we can do? I tried to pop a hole in the base but no can do.

Go to the base computer, activate it, and then use the "report base" feature. The base will be removed from your galaxy and you can now access the crashed ship (or any other mission objective that some troll decided to "cleaverly" hide or hinder).

if the base computer itself also be put inside the walls, or the very least not visible, what you can do is go to the build menu, look at the building part and hold Lctrl (keyboard) and swipe left until theres a exclamation warning icon to report said base.

i have seen several bases placed in very dickish ways like that.

Thanks for that. I started to do that, but I ran into 2 bases with the beacon covered and one where they buried the ship in dirt and i couldn't dig it out

lucky that HG got this prepared, im not sure if reported base that has edited terrain like burried ship will also go back to normal once vanished though, but its problably is.

Soo .. noob question here but I just happened to notice this thread and someone saying "Can you just go into offline mode" .. Well what I wanna know is .. I pickd the mode that was all the way to the left and I didnt notice any that said multiplayer unless I missed it .. nor have I noticed anything about toggling online/offline mode. Can someone explain the modes briefly and tell me how I can play and have that random chance to have someone land on a planet I'm on or to see another planet with a base? Or is that only done with friends or in the expedition mode? (I hear that's only a 4 person co-op and I dont understand how billions of planets would allow me to find them) Im just kinda confused on that whole online/offline thing with this game.

pause the game go to OPTIONS then NETWORK look to the left of the screen you will see a list of toggleable option they are all set to on as standard i would advise changing a few settings like turn off pvp change who can edit your base and such.

These settings will refresh and reset to on as default every new save you make.

Just take a look through set it to your preference

EDIT: yes is online coop & multiplayer so you can play with friends & meet randoms but are 1,000,000,000 to 1 chance you will find someone.

No i mean like pull the whole connection if your wireless drop- connection if your wired pull the line out.

As just the toggle option is not true offline mode is only to hide others visually really and stop interactions but game is still online so you will still see creations.

I know its crappy to do but maybe a option.

I believe you can achieve the same effect by putting Steam in offline mode before launching NMS, no need to completely disconnect your internet connection.
