How do you get mods to work??

So the Nexus mod manager doesn't do anything. as for putting the pak files into the mods folder that just crashes the game at the kitty logo. theres something called ENABLEMODS.TXT inside the PC banks folder too, so Im not sure why these mods are crashing my game. any ideas?

are they compatible with each other?
are they updated to support the latest expedition?
are you putting them in the right place?
Your steam install\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS)

also NMM sucks(and is why its discontinued and unsupported by nexus) manual install is more reliable

You also have to check if the mod is up to date, older mods might not work anymore and that's what happens when they're not working
Best way is to add them one at a time unless you've already played with them and you know they work

I also started with one, mine was to reduce those annoying asteroids now I think I have 9 or 10

49 mods, and starting to combine so I can have all the mods I want but had to choose between due to altering the same file. Making my own custom luas so I can easy update when necessary.

Check the date on any mod you want to use. If its older than the Expeditions update then it will crash the game. Anything since April 2021 should be good.

i tried a more recent update, it worked. i just wish now i could mod rdr2 ._.; ty guys
