Antimatter Housing Blueprint?

So I decided to play the game again from the beginning, after the newest update. I go through the first missions and then I find the drop pod for upgrading my exosuit (which badly needs more storage space, geeeeeez). But now it says I need antimatter housing to fix the upgrade thingy, but I have no antimatter housing. And no blueprint to build one. What gives?

Antimatter and the housing are part of the tutorial quests. After the base building, the next couple of quests offer the blueprints.

You can get them from Archive Buildings and Minor Settlements before you gain the blueprint when directed to an Abandoned Ruin.

drop pods are great but you should seriously get your ship working before you head off hunting for them. the antimatter housing is apart of the process learning how to enter hyperspace to jump between star systems... welcome to the endless universe.

Well, this is frustrating. I must also have missed the quest to get the antimatter housing blueprint because I need it for the same reason as the OP and can't find it. Anyone know if it's possible to get the blueprint anywhere else, please?

Its not at the anomaly? Back room, right side, center kiosk sells some special blueprints like this.

Technically you don't "need" it because you can buy those things on the same planet at trade locations.

But it is awarded fairly early in the starting "quest" (not sure if it's the actual "tutorial" quest or not) - at the point where it is guiding you to install and fuel-up your hyperdrive.

Likely, as Krash mentioned, it can be obtained "non-quest" by visiting the Anomaly.

If you're in the early-game and don't yet have access to the Anomaly (or having yet obtained that BP via the starting questing), it is certainly possible to find a drop pod in-the-wild and not be able to either start or complete it's repair. That has happened to me many times. /oh well...

If you can remember where it is then you can come back later, but chances are you won't - because there's usually so many of those things littering plant surfaces that you'll just find other ones.

Finish ship repairs, launch into space and follow prompts of the quest.
You will be guided through a few locations to visit, being awarded the BP's as and when they are needed. ie you need to refuel the hyperdrive. Go to location and obtain the BP.

i'm not sure how to reply. Is it the specific materials that bother you? I know around Origins update they changed the materials needed to repair the pods so that it was tougher to get slots prior to at least unlocking the antimatter and container recipes, but it's still not THAT tough. Heck, you can even buy the containers and drop pod maps at minor settlements quite often for a paltry sum. But it doesn't take much to get to the point where you can do all you want to do. Just play the game.

I don't believe I've reached The Anomaly yet, I can only get to a standard space station. Reason I need antimatter housing is because a quest is telling me I need one to make something to gain access to an exosuit upgrade. It's exactly the same issue the OP was having. I don't appear to have any other quests, either, or anything that'll lead me to The Anomaly.
