Fine i will just reroll steam then.
If you mean you'll roll back Steam's version, that won't help. The command block is at the API, not the client. Client version changes nothing.
Valve and their automatic forced updates in modded games can kiss my behind.

I like the idea of rerolling Steam. It's a FUBAR character sheet, reroll it!
Oh yes now you are being reasonable, just expect modders to update their mods daily whenever the devs feel like they need to update a tiny thing.
Most mods consist of one creator, that is a lot of work for one person, it's much easier for Valve to get their head out of their asses and make a "stop all updates button"
It would save a lot of time both for gamers and mod creators alike.
Also the compiler is still not compiling all files yet.
Says the person who has no valid argument to contribute.
Nah i disagree, it's Valve job to make sure developers have an option for their customers to stop updates in modded singleplayer games, there are plenty of other clients that does it.
Yup. Gumsk is working on updating mods right now, but I imagine the guy has a job and kids and a thousand distractions. Plus he's having to wait for the devs to quit screwing with the updates, because that's just creating more work for later because he'll have to update the mods AGAIN. It would just be easier to let us have a rollback like the old days, so if a version is broke and buggy, we can just go to one that works. It's like we've forgotten about simple convenenience in our hubris of modern day marvels.
Steam's job is to deliver games and updates to the user.
Hello Games' job is to update their game, which was not meant to be modded from the start and only gained mod warning screens because out of date mods were being reported as bugs.
The job of modders is to keep the mods they create up to date.
You should be patient and remind modders to update as necessary.
Exactly, it's nice there are people that get it.
