Cross-play Xbox app(PC) and Steam

I play on Xbox app(PC) and my friend started to playing on Steam, I added him to the game's friend list and he added me, but i can't send group invitation and contrariwise, in the game's friend list only appears to remove the friendship. Is there a way to form a group?

Both players needs to be playing on the same difficulty. You can't invite someone if you both playing on different difficulties.

and if the two are in the same difficulty and still don't show up, do you know what it could be?

Crossplay is currently disabled. PC is on v3.33 while Xbox/Game Pass is currently on v3.22. You'll have to wait for the Game Pass version to be updated.
