REMINDER: Report troll bases
With Expeditions making the same general mistake of every past multiplayer update - expecting trolls to not exist - there are big surprise troll bases being installed on the archives at the rendezvous points. This post is a reminder that you can interact with the base computer associated with such bases and report them. If the troll has walled off their BC then enter build mode, target one of the walls, hold CTRL, and select "Report Base" for the same effect. Once reported, the base will be purged locally so that you can continue playing unimpeded.

Troll bases are bases built specifically to screw with other players by walling off features of the landmark they're built near, such as walling off portals, the features of archives (merchants, trade center, etc.), and more. These commonly crop up during weekend community missions, and are relatively common when looking for the grave during the Starbirth quest, and have begun popping up during the Community Expediition.

Some are pretty comical. Some player built a tiny box (easy to jetpack over) on one of the aisleways of an archive. Just one, so I came a different route and did not see until I was leaving. He named the base computer "Why put the base computer here?" and it was on the ground below the main floor.

I did report it just to see if it would disappear. It worked, but really not a big deal.

The trolls that get me are the snipers who see some fun in shooting unaware players. I just don't get that meme at all. I hope it is kids who can grow out of the "humor" and not some adult who is probably doomed to be socially unacceptable for life.

Another type of troll base is done by naming it something intentionally insulting or controversial. If you see a base at the SA in the teleporter listing you object to, go to it before the owner leaves the Anomaly and report it. I'm not talking about censorship but obvious race baiting or anti-semitism.

I had to report a base a long time ago just to complete starbirth. They literally plugged off a facility i had to enter.

I'm pretty sure it worked in my case (IIRC, the base in my case had edits disabled).

wait til you find out of the afk people blocking people from landing on space station in the start system, had to raid a facility to get microchips for warp drive

I've bumped into a few of these troll bases before. Both built over crashed ships. I also had a troll base build over much of one of my bases, that I was foolish enough to share the coordinates to. (This is how I discovered the ability to extend the base building bubble).

Is there a way to report them as well? The best I can think of is using the glyphs to the planet and the coordinates of the base. But I have not actually tried to communicate with HG on these.
