Yes, but those other companies have huge staffs and SHARE HOLDERS. That means money makes the decisions.
Some may, but they aren't honest about it, which isn't a shock. Instead of just releasing more paid crap, and being "yep, we are doing this to increase profits even more" they try to hide behind claiming they need to do so or go under, which is an absolute lie they've been trying to sell for years now. That's how we've ended up with standard day one DLC just being accepted now. It's mental.
Even though they could have easily justified making a lot of this paid DLC, they didn't.
They should start soon though, so we can see bigger and more come to No Man's Sky with that new influx of cash. :)
