My minotaur had no technology tab and I was bot able to scan and mine with it.
For rocketman, you effectively can get it by flying on a wall of your base.
As can deciding "too hard now, I'll do that when I have a ship and some mobility". And just a comment there, storm crystals sell high, collect and sell enough and you could probably buy a functioning ship from a black-marketeer.
Examples:
Herox, not a problem, have minotaur with full set of scanners, find depot, walk a very long way, raid depot, leap into lake to hide from sentinels :), have herox - which was a long way ahead of where I was. Same thing with Larval cores, stumbled across an abandoned building while I was looking for something else and used the traditional trick to raid it for cores.
The only one I had grief with was rocketman, and I'll concede I looked that up in the end. The solution is the inspired brilliance and moments of utter terror which make this game worth playing.
11 hours, 50m credits, 8500 nanites and complete and I had a LOT of fun doing it.
I suspect the reward is worth having as well - hungry lil ***tard - I imagine his somewhat upsize spawn with be formidable.
