Fauna, Plant and Mineral data gone
As the title says, Since the latest update, All planets that i have previously visited and explored, the database says that i have not discovered any of these.
Yet all explored planets data remains fine.
Is this a bug that needs fixing ?

Are you actually connected to the discovery service?

How do you know if your connected to the discovery service ?
All the planets and stars are showing as discovered, just not the Fauna, Plants and Minerals.

Ah, Ye i have a red circle and a message.
You have lost connection to the online discovery service.

How can i fix this please ?
Is it just a bug and will it fix itself ?

I've restored it by closing the game and restarting, but it depends on the server.

Ye thats not worked for me as this has been happening now since i updated several days ago.
Ive just added No Mans Sky to the Exclude section on my firewall, maybe that was it !

Ye finally got the connected to services back, but that doesnt fix the problem of missing data, Looks like all data for Fauna has been reset and needs discovering again.

Makes it feel pointless now going through every planet looking for every creature, only to have it reset !

It's still stored online, just clears it from your save file.
If you re-scan, you'll still have credit for the discovery.
Someone else posted the same thing in this thread, but they deleted it.

OK thanks, So maybe something that will get fixed in the end ?

Had you previously deleted any folders to fix other problems just before the Frontiers update? Their is a file that contains all that info and should be backed up along with the regular save game file. HG never mentioned it, assuming players wouldn'r delete it. But I have encountered threads where a player was told to delete an entire folder. They lose the discovery info if the cloud save fails to back it up. Sorry I don't have the file name, I switched to Xbox last year and can't remeber it.

Pretty sure that that's only the item catalog (not including unlocked blueprints).
Discoveries would be with the save file.

After some reading through old posts and whatnot, it looks like this has been an issue for a number of years. One fix has been to disconnect and reconnect to the internet, for me however this only connects to the discovery services for a minute or so, before disconnecting again. I'd love to find a permanent fix for this issue.
