since taming animals updated to everything does that mean we can tame small birds? or only animals you can ride or fly on?

I been messing with this today - birds fly up and out of reach of your jet pack. If you manage to juke yourself close enough you will notice you wont get the Feed indicator.

That said, there are lots of flying critters, like big moths, and beetles, that you can feed, tame, hop on.

There are also lots of 'insects' on some planets now, as well, and they will blast around you like a mini tornado - but they are also untameable.

Small as in baby, or small like the insects sized butterfly stuff? Even the traditional birds I got close enough did not present with a Tame indicator.

regular size bird you dont ride, been trying to tame this bird but they to high and if i use jetpack you cant multitask to tame.

I tried too - some critters dont present with a Feed/Tame indicator. But you can find some kickass moths which is what I did.

what kind of galaxy could i find really monstrous companions? cause on console i found a flying creature about the size of godzilla just flying around on the planet. What color galaxies would they be on?

I haven't tried taming or riding any animals just yet, but if I found one from another planet, tamed it, will it come with me wherever I go?

You can't scan the giant worms, too. They don't count as fauna of the planet, they are just there for their sheer beauty. And for the AWWWW when you encounter them the first time.
