A further idea I had would to be to make this blueprint a reward for a mid-game quest.
3 "S" class movement modules in the tech slots and 3 in the general slots of the exo suit give me all the speed I need on the ground when looking for hotspots and, If I come up empty, summoning the starship and moving to a different location and starting the process again creates a save point in case of a game crash, fills up my basic hazard protection while I'm flying, and is both faster and farther than using the exo craft.
Once I've found all the hot spots I need the exo craft become even more useless and any modules I used to upgrade them become even more of a waste. I prefer to spend my resources on things that will be useful the entire game (like my exo suit and my primary star ship) rather than one shot gimmick things.
In practice, by the time I would consider using an exo craft, its all ready redundant or outmoded.
I summon the Roamer for gathering resources . I summon the Colossus to build bases. The Roamer is a light vehicle that can skim water and climb mountains with ease, in my mind it is a perfect vehicle perfect for surveying.
I guess we all have our favourite Exocraft. Personally my LEAST favourite is the Nautilon. It COULD be so good. However too many times I have accidently surfaced and find myself bouncing up and down on top of the water!
Thank you for your response
I I tried that. It works for me late game when I have completed many, many Derelicts and have more Freighter slots in the main tab than I know what to do with. However, at the moment, I need my (few) slots for all the goodies my Frigates bring home. I find it easier to load up my Colossus with Metal, Ferrite, Glass, Micro-processers etc etc than keep swapping storage tabs. Maybe if I could access ALL of the freighter storage remotely (rather than just 16 out of 20 slots) I might use the freighter to build bases earlier.
Thank you for your response.
I think you are confusing the Roamer and the Nomad. The Nomad is the "hover bike" that skims across the water. The Roamer is the "dune buggy", it does not float. The Pilgrim is the motorcycle, it is the fastest of them all.
YUP, Thank you for pointing that out. My brain slipped and my fingers carried on typing regardless.

I tried the Pilgrim , I have not found a use for it.
(I am 56 and a Granddad, I no longer feel the need for speed)
