Spend Salvaged Data?

I was entering the mouth of the anomaly and got the above text right in the entry. What does it mean?
Has it always been there and I never noticed? Don't think so.
Also, first time I have ever seen there were several asteroids within the entry tunnel - could this be it?

It sounds like you summoned the anomaly while in an asteroid field, sometimes this results in asteroids in the entry tunnel. This is not related to the salvaged data message. That message pops up if you have a few salvaged data items in your inventory (I've seen it pop up when I've only had 3 in my inventory.)

If you head to the upper level in the Anomaly, there's a set of booths where you can trade your salvaged data for blueprints & upgrades. Take the ramp to the right of the Nexus, and take the ramp on the left before you get to the appearance modifier. When you get to the junction it is right for the booths (I think but if you end up talking to Polo or Nada - then I remembered wrong - and its left for the booths)

Yeah - as soon as you have at some Salvaged Data in your inventory, that message pops up to remind you that you can spend it in the anomaly. Even if you _can't_ actually spend it because you bought everything already.

The consumerist tragedy - nothing to buy. I keep checking every now and again to see if any new items have been released... I'd really like to see some new base construction items :-D

Ha! I did accidentally have some salvaged data in my inventory that I'd forgotten to take out and store at my base. Thanks. And, yes, I still have trouble remembering where things are in that place. It's almost like trying to find the restroom in a nightclub!

And some of the items have additional requirements you risk your life for like walker brains and gravitino balls among others. For me - it's too bad it's not all just nanites and/or salvage
