Derelict ship always same name?
So I am gettting free tuners from the guy in the Anomaly, going in to search for Derelict ships in different systems, and they always have the same name, or at least very similar, or very rare when not. It is always SS Ojimizav III or at least I remember the 3 and the word starting with O all the time. Also, the logs are very similar too, especially the captain's logs. Is this normal? The ship's interiors are always the same looking too, just with different arrangement of rooms, and all I found so far as threat was green floating medusas, and one time I had an alien infestation, but the little headcrab-like things disappeared in the floor, not attacking. Do I have a bug and I should normally see much bigger variety?

It does not take long to do one of the unit making strategies available in game. You just need a plan and focus.

The freighters are a nice diversion and way to get some nice stuff. But I don't think the main question was answered here. The freighter in a system will always be the same. It is determined by the type of system. You can go get system addresses for systems that have certain types of derelict freighters. That system will always have that freighter. It does not depend on the EBR at all. Take an EBR from that system to another system and a different freighter will appear.

I think it depends where do you get the tunners, apparently they type of freighter is linked to the tunner, not the system.

The tuner device is supposed to cost-prohibitive, that's why Helios gives you a free one, every few days. If you somehow accumulate several of them, and allow them to stack in a single slot, they all become clones of the one on the "bottom" of the stack. This affect can not be undone. A similar cloning affect occurs if you use a trick that prevents the game from removing your tuner when you activate it, so that you can use it again.

as for myself = I had a 'stack' and they were the same until I changed star systems.

WHat do you mean by cost-prohibitive? Buying a tuner costs 5 million, and you can rarely get as much or more than 5 million by getting stuff from a Derelict ship, that is why I only use the free tuners from the guy, I do not understand why it is worth it to buy a tuner for 5 million, when you barely get that much credit worth of stuff out of it?

not worth the salvage that is secondary, its the freigher upgrade modules that are worth it. especially when you find a s class spawn you can start farming it for modules.

That's exactly what it means: they are intended to be so expensive that most players can not hoard them, and their price doubles each time you buy one ( 5 million, then 10 million, then 20 million) until the next day. More than likely, the cloning affect is a glitch that they can't fix yet, but it can be very useful if you do it with a turner that leads to a very profitable wreck.

The loot you get from exploring the wreck will very, very rarely have a monetary value equal to the cost of the tuner. However, the usefulness of the loot is often worth the price for many players because you can find high-value treasures for collectors, nanites & quicksilver, as well as upgrades for your Capital Ship and Base Building items that can not be acquired in other ways.

It's a unit sink. It's only cost-prohibitive at the beginning of the game, after you've been playing a while you can earn 100M+ units a day passively pretty easily. So some things cost a ton of units so people will have something to do with them.

Helios gives you a free tuner once a week so early-game players can access freighters. It's not and was never supposed to be a good source of units.

Ah thanks that is cool! But yeah, I do not have time to like make a farm or set of refineries on each planet of a system or whatever to get a moneymaking mine and stuff like that...nor patience to play a videogame to do such things. I just wanna explore when I got time to play this game ^^"

Using the space station teleporters, you can have a main base and keep exploring as far away as you like.
