aurora borealis and night skies

if it's not already a feature, it would be nice to witness aurora borealis phenomena :) also, space ought to look more like or better than a clear and dark night sky from a remote and isolated point - just an aesthetic preference. that's all

I just wish planets and moons in the night sky actually had correct lighting, because they are all coloured blue with the night lighting of the planet you're on.

There are no night skies in NMS - there's tons of light pollution throughout all planets in all galaxies. I think the developers have never been out of the city.

that is nice. but that's a more-or-less a static interstellar dust cloud. what i mean would be something more dynamic, you know ? whipping and undulating across the night sky as it changes colors and whatnot

The light pollution also occurs in outer space. I think the developers just used photographs of the night sky to base it all on and never have actually been out at night under the sky. There are other games that have presented outer space as it should be - like Kerbal Space Program and Outer Wilds so it's not a technical issue.
