Need help with "The Atlas Path" -> "Reach the Black Hole" Mission
So, I created 1 warp core, went to the galaxy map, used my arrow keys and selected black hole. It pointed me to a "solar system" so I warped to it. Now, I'm in a solar system with no black hole. When I went to the galaxy map again, and used my arrow keys to select black hole, it pointed me to another system.

Do I need to make, like, 20 warp cores in order to get to this black hole and back to my main base? I just want to make sure I'm doing this right before I get lost on the other side of the universe and waste a ton of resources doing it.

Ask either Nada or Polo about black holes at the anomoly. Can't remember which one, also haven't used a black hole myself on a long time, but I'm pretty sure one of them may be able to help with that.

As stated above, ask Polo at the Anomaly. Then a marker will appear for you in the Galaxy Map.

I always have problems locating a black hole in a system as they are hard to see for me.

Not sure if your ships hud may have a blip for it nowadays, but you will not be lost somewhere in the galaxy after passing through one if you make sure you landed on the spacestation of the system you want to return to beforehand. That way you just teleport back to it afterwards.

I did already ask Polo. He said he marked it. I open up the Galaxy Map, used the arrow keys to select Black Hole, and it appears to lead me through a chain of solar systems but never actually leads to a Black Hole!

Do you travel to a black hole by going to a regular solar system and the black hole is in there somewhere for you to find it?

I am not sure that black holes are available to the player until you unlock it by completing the Atlas Path. I have played through 5 times, and never run into them until I have completed the Atlas Path.

Regardless, once you have unlocked the ability to see them on the G map, they are really obvious because of the big star icon next to the system.

Black holes are visible in systems with black holes. And just take a teleport back home. to be able to teleport back there again. each black hole leads you a little bit closer to the center but from a diferent side of it. 30 jumps or more thrue these black holes are neccessary to get close enouth to the center. I did it twice in early versions and a lot changed since. have fun

If Polo marked a Black Hole for you at some point, it would be visible nearby on the Galaxy Map wherever you were when you first asked him. If you've moved away from that region in the meantime, it may no longer be visible to you. Go back where you had been and call up the map again. No need to plot a path to it. Should be visible within a couple hundred ly.

You need to watch with your eyeball around for an anomaly in space, I think that if you center on it with the ship's crosshairs a text may appear (not sure), else try to locate it from your ship radar scope. I'm sure you are in the right system and there is the BH (line #2 in your thread). I remember mine was not very big and spectacular from far away, you can easily miss it.
