Is there any point in keeping all: Na, Na+ and ION Batteries at once?
I'e been trudging around for a long time with all three in the slots but I am beginning to think I can de-clutter these down a bit and free up some space

Whats your thoughts and what should I keep?

Thank you...

You can refine Na into Na+ and (I think) the other way around. If you need space, do that. I like to keep batteries though...
Just keep a stack of every raw material and you can make anything you want when you want.
If you ever get low on anything (which is mostly impossible in this game) buy it, or keep a farm to top up and visit when needed.

Na and Na+ both can be used to recharge tech but also Na can be refined to sulphurine. useful for highend crafting. Keep raw resources and farm plants always stocked up. Space asteroids or cargo pods also contain resources. No need to grind or store too much, just play the game and have fun. :D

*Me pretending that farms and bases dont exist because I mostly played before they were implemented.* 👴

Batteries can be used to charge environmental protections. Good if want to make a home on a hostile planet, or do alot of Derelict Freighters. Being able to make yourself temporarily immune to environments is quite nice.

My storage is massed out lol. I am indeed crafting, when the mood catches me, and i agree its nearly impossible to run out of stuff.

Just didn't know if there is a huge preference which to keep.

ION batteries seem to work out the same value and time as their counter parts. Ya know Ie done nearly 1000 hours and have only done two freighters so far.... I am saving them up ;)

I'd point out that to Na and Na+ only charge the basic hazard protection. To charge the biome-specific hazard protections with raw materials, you'd need to keep uranium, ammonia, phosphorous and dioxite, while ion batteries can be made from just cobalt and ferrite dust. Since Na and Na+ come up in building and technology recipes, I keep them on hand, but usually use ion batteries for recharging. As far as derelict freighters go, I tend to leave with more ion batteries than I started with.

For sodium and nitrates:
Before you got the personnal refiner, keep the lowest tier, that's the form in which you find them the most often, so they will stack without having to do anything.
Once you got the personnal refiner, turn all you have into the second tier, it will take less room and you'll be able to do it while exploring around.

Ion battery: you can stack 100 in your general inventory or 200 in your cargo.... and they work on everything. With a full stack you wont have to worry about what material you need to recharge any environnemental protection anymore.

Once you've got a freighter which you can build tons of storage rooms on, I collect everything...i try to have stacks of every element maxed. You'll get rid of something and eventually find you need it to build/craft something. Also once you've attained the ability to warp...find a planet with ancient bones on it, fill your inventory with them, sell them do it for awhile. then just warp to every unknown system you can find and upgrade your inventory slots...its fairly easy to do and before long inventory space won't be an issue.

What I did was built a base where I mine the raw material I needed. So when I need say sodium, I just teleport to that particular base take the sodium and keep going.

Mastermind-Excellent ideas there, cheers!!
I am just lacking one complete slot of Activate Cadium and Activated Emeril.

Today I achieved max money but can always do with more nanites so I can get another four ships.

Not sure at all about freighter rooms as yet. I filled all my exocraft storage instead hehehe...

in creative I am like 17 galaxies in so I am not so bothered moving on to other galaxies but am liking the idea of other Hub (see another post about that).

Amazing how peoples bases just disappear and appear in from of me haphazard though

Carter: I do that for O2
I feel its not worth the effort at present but if I start another game I'll probably do just at.
Thanks

I just maxed out my Cargo slots so I just keep full stacks of most of the important resources on me at all times. Everything else I keep in base storage which I can access from my fleet.
