My inventory stack size is only 750/1500

I have read in https://nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Inventory page that the inventory stack size for items such as carbon is 9999.
But for me, its 750 in my normal backpack and 1500 in my Cargo.
And when i see YouTube videos of this game almost everyone has 9999 inventory space, even the most recent uploads with the latest patch.
Can anyone help me out.

Sounds like you're playing in survival mode. Survival has (very) limited inventory space.

If you equip your ship with an economy scanner, you can scan for Trading Posts (the big ones). As for the Minor Settlements (the small ones), you seem to be quite unlucky until now, getting not a single drop pod coordinates... unfortunately for that you need to keep trying. But you can fly over the planetes and look for the blue house signs. Now many of them are just save signs with some boxes, and sometimes they have drop pods too.

Survival and Permadeath is 250 (inventory) and 500 (backpack). I play that now... I never had a 750 / 1500 limitation, sounds like an odd bug. You could try to start a new game, to see how the stack size is then.

you should upload mf_save.hg and save2.hg and not two saveX.hg
what you did upload into the clouds makes no sense

I have never seen anything like you describe. Some special items (like pearls) are limited to blocks of 5 in main suit and 10 in extra storage, but stuff like carbon should be 10,000.

Is your game updated to most recent version? If you have an offline copy and are not updated it might be throwing some odd results on storage because of conflicts. That is just a random guess.

Guys i found the problem. its the Vanilly Sky Mod which i was using.

guys i want all the benefits from this MOD, which is the increased/rebalanced scanning speed and all....but i want the big inventory stack size :(

I cant believe i played the entire story mission and countless hours on a measly inventory.

You should read mod descriptions before installing them. The description tab explains that it introduces a tiered inventory system which both increases and decreases stacking dependent on the inventory and the items.

one unrelated question
What is the use of visiting all these ancient shrines and clicking on ancient stone thingies? Is it only to learn language? Cant we simply learn new language from the NPCs in Space Stations? Is there a difference in the language learned between NPCs (minimal effort) and those learned from shrines (grind)
